Koki, my friend Heidi's dog, was bought from a pet store in New York City. She told me Koki's story and I would like to share it with you. The store Koki was purchased from was both crowded and dirty. Dozens of puppies were hoarded into small cages. The Store keeper was as nasty as they came. But if not for the cute adorable puppy that had captured their hearts, Heidi and her family would have fled the store in a heart beat. Trouble started when Heidi and her family took their new puppy to the Vet. The vet told them that Koki had an ear infection, diarrhea, and many eye problems. Heidi;s family had to spend about 325 dollars to get Koki in good health. When they tried to contact the pet store, they refused to acknowledge anything was wrong with the puppy they sold.
But don't worry today Koki is in good heath and in a loving home. But if you want to avoid what Heidi and her family went through be sure to do a little research on where your puppy is coming from. Remember all puppies that come from stores are most likely to be from puppy mills.
This is Koki when he first came home. He was very small and very sick.
